Here we go again

Walking from the car to the lecture theatre again to talk about chemistry and energy and things that make things change, again, and again, and again. So predictable sometimes... life, light, leaf, me... Still, a nice sight to see, this tree.

  1. Change is predictable, if things didn't change it would disturb me somewhat, I think...

Your tree is just perfect and predictable in every way, I like the way that trees are so predictable ;-)

  2. If things didn't change you wouldn't be able to think, Cherie :)

Change makes us and change takes us. It's a fair deal.

  3. By the way, as the caption says, my new profile image is of me in the mornings, but to see how much I mellow by evening scroll to the very bottom of the sidebar :)

  4. I was looking at your new profile picture and wondering...

Now I have scrolled down to the bottom of the sidebar I see you really belong in my gallery ;-)

  5. I love your gallery, especially the one that looks like me in my zip-up black jacket, maybe as I am by about late afternoon :). Here:

  6. :-) You do have me a little worried because he is sat right behind me now and he still has a similar expression on his face...

I am wondering if I am keeping him from his slumbers...

  7. You can decide for yourself...

I am not quite sure what is going on in the photo behind him, but he doesn't look too impressed with the situation :-/

  8. Ha ha. He's a cool Dude, and it looks like he is experiencing a spooky visitation there.

But I am not sure the angry bear image really suits me (the cuddly evening teddy bear at the bottom of the sidebar does, but not for the daytime). I may need to find something more Scottish and noble to represent the Don. A Lion Rampant perhaps. Watch this space

  9. I have never seen you as an angry bear :-)

And now I have the opportunity to look forward to the Scottish representation of yourself ;-)

  10. Bear with a sore head in the mornings sometimes... But now I am a noble Scottish lion (a suitably nonsensical concept), but still a cuddly teddy bear by evening. Better?

  11. Yes! The latest one is better.

And this is a beautiful tree!

  12. Beautiful tree. And tired teddies always need a cuddle - and are wonderful to cuddle as well.

  13. That is one beautiful tree. It was a very hot summer in Texas, and our trees are confused. When it cooled a little, it started sprouting new leaf like it's spring time...and I haven't seen it turn. It might go straight to dead because now it's getting too cold to be fall.

  14. Hello Shoshana, and welcome. I found some interesting words and pictures on your website. I like "I get bent out of shape when my kids don't do their homework" and lots of other ones too. You have a good way with words (and a degree in biochemistry, now law school, and kids... Busy busy?)

  15. Thanks Child of E, I will play up on the tired Teddies good to cuddle issue when evenings come.

  16. It is a nice tree Claudia. I admire it at all stages of its cycle. And I am glad you feel the somewhat deranged looking lion trying to be rampant suits me better. That flag is variously known as the Scottish Royal Standard, the Banner of the King of the Scots and the Scottish Lion Rampant. I don't know about its origin, I should perhaps research that. I am of course not entitled to fly it in full, but I think that I may claim that key central portion of it as a representation of the stumbling bumbling Don trying to attack his quests :)
